A couple of months ago, I was on the hunt for a medium coverage foundation with a dewy finish... and I found it. I then promised to writ...
I recently did something I never, ever thought I'd do... I, the die-hard blush addict, bought a bronzer. For too long I saw no need ...
Happy June, ladies! The beginning of a new month means it's about time I told you about all my favourite beauty bits from the last ...
As I mentioned earlier this week, my skin hasn't been looking its best - I'm blaming stress... clinical medicine is great, but I...
If you read my blog regularly, you'll know that I'm about to state the obvious here: my hair is massive, and there's rather ...
If you don't know me personally, chances are you have no idea that I happen to be the (not-so-proud) owner of the world's biggest sweet tooth.
I could honestly eat chocolate and Tangfastics until they are pouring out of my ears... and it's not great for my skin or my waist-line.
Enter NAKD bars, which I discovered late last year and have been completely addicted to ever since.
NAKD bars are gluten, wheat and artificial sugar free... and are bloomin' tasty as anything. They come in a host of flavours, but my favourite are, of course, the cocoa ones. Cocoa Crunch is probably my number 1 pick, but there's also Cocoa Orange, Cocoa Mint and Cocoa Delight to tempt you with. When I feel a chocolate craving coming on (which, let's face it, is most days for me) I reach for one of these and find my craving completely satisfied.
Sceptical as to how these little bars taste as good as the real thing? Well, they're made entirely of dried fruit and nuts along with a pinch of cocoa to give a hint of chocolatey flavour... there's absolutely no dairy used to create this taste, so not only are they vegetarian friendly, they're vegan friendly too!
One NAKD bar is under 150 calories... take into account that one small bar of Dairy Milk is 260 calories, and chances are you probably won't just eat one little bar (or is that just me?). So they're a heck of a lot better when you're trying to keep an eye on what you eat whilst still tasting like a yummy treat!
Personally, I'm convinced there's a link between high consumption of artificial sugar and dairy with acne (watch this for more information), and the healthy fats in the nuts used in NAKD bars also happen to be rather fantastic for keeping your skin smooth and clear.
Have I convinced you that there is such a thing as a healthy sweet treat now?
