Wow... it's been a while.
If you don't follow me on Twitter, then you may be thinking I have been horribly lazy when it comes to my blog... just to clarify, that is not the case.
I have been in the midst of
hell on earth exams for the last few months, and as the clock struck noon on 23rd June (totally made that rhyme by accident), I was finally freed from my misery.
My friends and I spilled out of the exam hall and were met with glorious sunshine... so this happened, naturally:
Exam freedom + good weather = Pimms.
I went home for a bit of a breather, and wanted a week of doing absolutely nothing... and given how much time I've spent slaving away at a desk the last few months, sitting down to blog just wasn't top of my priority list!
Instead, I tucked into a great book:
If you like The Mindy Project as much as I do, you will love this book. Trust me when I tell you I'm not much of a reader - I have been known to Google the endings of novels so I don't have to sit and read through the entire thing... but I've nearly finished this!
All that revision has meant my primping and preening had gone to pot - just take a look at my hair...
Yep, super shiny and glossy (thanks, coconut oil) but farrrrr too long... time for a snip?
Of course, my week at home would not be complete without an obligatory bunstagram...
Move over K Mid, there's only one duchess around these parts *paints nails emoji*
And I was in dire need of a night out complete with a tonne of makeup on my face... queue me slapping on red lipstick like there was no tomorrow.
My dress was a total steal from Oasis. I happen to think it's rather nice, but my mum said it looked very 'Kat Slater' ... thanks mummy, love you too.
After a week of relaxation it was back to University for careers week... no rest for us medics, but we still managed to get out and enjoy the sunshine!
The top was stolen from my mum, the embellished pocket shorts were from H&M (last year I'm afraid) and the earrings are from Coast.
Those exams I mentioned earlier... well, on Thursday I found out I'd passed them, officially making me a final year medic! It was a huge, huge relief, so a bit of a celebration was in order...
Gin in one, champagne in the other... and out of plastic cups.
Who says I'm not a classy girl?
So there you have it! I am very much alive and kicking despite the sad state of my blog, and looking forward to getting back into writing!
Hope you've all been well the last two months and enjoy what is coming up on Bombay Rose this summer... and make sure you follow me on Instagram to see these photos and more!
