I always like to thoroughly road-test skincare before telling you ladies what I think of it... and that often means waiting for my current stash of serums and moisturisers to run out before I then give a product a good trial on my skin.
Now I'm about two thirds of the way through my L'Oréal Paris Skin Perfection Day Moisturiser* I'm here to give you the scoop on what I think of it...
I was totally intrigued by the Skin Perfection range when I saw this television advert featuring Cheryl Cole... FYI, she is in fact bare-faced in it and still looks bloody brilliant. I was already a huge fan of the L'Oréal Paris Skin Perfection Micellar Solution, so was keen to get my grubby little paws all over the Daytime Moisturiser and Serum (more about the latter in an upcoming post...).
So, first up: packaging. The product is housed in a sturdy glass container, which I love - not only for the colour (life motto: if it's pink, I'm sold), but also for the fact you're able to scoop out every last bit of product inside. Additionally, it's really easy to throw into a bag when you're travelling, and with the second lid (not shown in the photographs), which conveniently sits between the metal lid and the product, you're unlikely waste your moisturiser on the contents of your suitcase...
So, after a couple of weeks of daily use, I can't say I'm all that wowed. This product is undeniably nice... but it's not been the skincare revelation I hoped it would be. I do think my complexion looks a little brighter and clearer... but in all honesty, the difference is rather minimal. And whilst I'm perfectly happy to finish off the remainder of this product over the coming weeks, with its recommended retail price of £14.99 (pretty expensive for a drugstore moisturiser if you ask me!) I think I'll be sticking with my trusty Nivea Pure & Natural Moisturising Day Cream, which does a better job... and at just over £5, it saves precious pennies pennies too!
L'Oréal Paris Skin Perfection Day Moisturiser is priced at £14.99 and available at Boots.
