Friday Favourites: 2013 Special.

Happy Friday!

I haven't written a Friday Favourites post in some time now, sorry about that... I thought it appropriate to use the first one of 2014 as a bit of a personal round-up of the last year.

Hope you enjoy it :-)

Favourite Beauty Buy:

The NARS And God Created the Woman Set has been my best find these last 12 months. I use it most days and am yet to have been swayed by any other palette - and guess what... looks like it's still available!

Favourite Furry Friends:

 These little ladies, obviously.
If you'd like to see even more bunny photos (why did I say 'if?' Of course you do), then follow me on Instagram.

Favourite Makeup Change:

2013 has been the year of lipstick... in particular, berry-toned ones. I can't possibly pick between them but Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Lipstick in Wine (left; I'm wearing it here) and L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick in Plum Passion (right; and wearing it here) have been what I opt for when wearing a dark lip.

Favourite Moment:

Having my writing published (twice!) on a renowned online medical resource has been both a personal and professional achievement... if you'd like to have a read, check out my posts here.
(Coming in a close second: starting my own YouTube channel...)

Favourite New Year Philosophy:

New year is the perfect excuse to make some changes ... who says they all have to be to yourself?

It's safe to say 2013 has been pretty allright... here's hoping 2014 will be even better :-)

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Gorgeous colours in that palette!
Plum passion looks like a lovely lipstick, I might have to pick that up!

  2. Hey Ambi!
I just found your blog, while revising for exams (some cheeky procrastination in progress), and I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed reading through your posts.
I'm also a med student (in my 6th and last year) and I love beauty, skincare and makeup (also a big Harry Potter fan hehe).
I really admire you for finding the time to blog while studying, I've been thinking about starting one but just haven't gotten around to doing it.
By the way, I'm also of Indian origin so I can really rely on your foundation reviews since sometimes it's hard to know if certain shades will match my skin tone.
Thanks for the recommendations and keep it up!

    1. Hi Priyanka. Thanks so much for your lovely comment... nice to find a fellow beauty enthusiast who just happens to be a medical student! Nice on the Harry Potter loving too... I am a bit of an HP-nerd!
      Hope you keep reading! :-)

  3. I keep putting that NARS palette in my basket, and never get round to clicking 'checkout'. I really need to just bite the bullet and buy it, I keep hearing how amazing it is! x
