The other day I decided to paint my nails a rather vibrant shade of pink ... as soon as I slicked on that last bit of polish, I instantly regretted my decision. It was cold and grey outside and I had Barbie pink nails... it just didn't add up.
If you've seen my Everyday Makeup Tutorial, you'll know I slap on a fair bit of the Estée Lauder Raisins Palette on my eyelids, along with a generous helping of the Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush in Spicey all over my cheeks. My pink nails looked odd... so why should it be any different for my face..?!
So... say hello to my new, improved everyday makeup for Autumn/Winter.
Taking the Color Tattoo across the entire lid, I then blend the lightest shade in the NARS palette (Allahambra) into the inner third of the eye, and mix Galapagos and Coconut Grove (2nd row, left and middle respectively) before blending this into the crease and outer corner.
My trust Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen creates my signature kitten flick...
With British weather being unpredictable at the best of times, I've decided to switch to a rain-friendly product... at the moment, I'm loving the MaxFactor Clump Defy Waterproof Mascara.
Here are the eyes up close:
Next up: face.
In my tutorial, you saw me use the NARS Bronzing Powder in Casino as a contour shade... I'm now using it all over the high points of my face to give my dull skin a little more of a healthy glow.
I've swapped my pink blush for a terracota shade...
I'm aware of just how terrifying this looks in the pan, but NARS Blush in Liberte goes beautifully with the bronzed-look I'm going for this season.
Aside from these changes, I've kept everything else exactly the same.
Have you changed your everyday makeup look this season?
