Millie Mackintosh Soho Lashes.

Back when I was a fresher, no night out was complete without a ma-husive eyebrow-skimming pair of false eyelashes... fast forward a couple of years; the nights out are something of a rarity, and the lashes are a little more on the natural side.

A couple of months ago, Millie Mackintosh teamed up with Nouveau Lashes and brought out a range of falsies, with each pair named after different areas of London. I was quick to snap up a couple ('Soho' and 'Shoreditch'), but given the fact I'm a bit of a granny, they've sat in my makeup drawer just waiting for an occasion to be worn to.

So when it came to getting ready for my parents' 25th wedding anniversary party on Saturday night, you can guess what I reached straight for when it came to my makeup...

I decided to wear Soho, which are gorgeous, fluttery eyelashes, with a slightly longer length at the outer corners; they're perfect for a special occasion but probably not something to be worn everyday - some of the other lashes within the range are more natural, and could be worn on a daily basis - in fact, Millie herself wears false eyelashes day-to-day!

The box comes complete with instructions, latex-free adhesive and some mini tweezers to help with application (... and the lashes themselves, obviously).

I'm something of a dab hand with eyelash application, but can honestly say they're so easy to put on, with clear, concise instructions, and even an online tutorial incase you get stuck. The wonderful thing about these lashes is how fine the strip the hairs are attached to actually is, so you don't necessarily have to apply liquid liner to hide the join between your falsies and your real eyelashes - especially great if your opting for a more natural look.... which, on this occasion, I was not.

By the end of the night (and a couple of watermelon martinis later...), I'd practically forgotten I was wearing falsies. I peeled them off (pain-free, might I add) and placed them back in their box. and can honestly say they look as good as new. Most other falsies on the market are destined for the garbage can after one or two uses, but I can safely say I reckon I'll be able to get a good four or five wears out of these Millie Mackintosh ones.

Hands down, the best false eyelashes I've used... and believe me when I say it. After all, I've been around the block when it comes to falsies.

Millie Mackintosh Lashes are priced at £8.99, and are available at Nouveau Lashes and feelunique.com
