Dip-Dye Another Day.

After years of umm-ing and ahh-ing, I finally joined the omb crew a couple of weeks back... and I'm so happy with the results that I thought I'd share them with you all!

Much as I love the dip-dye trend, I don't think I could ever pull off the dark brown roots-blonde ends kinda look, so I opted for a much more subtle, sun-kissed one, and had a caramel highlights through the crown, mid-lengths and front of my hair, with extra colour through the ends.

Despite the abundance of highlight and omb kits in the drugstore,  I just couldn't risk my precious hair turning bright orange (inevitable given the red tinge it already has) with a 'sat on my bathroom floor surrounded by newspaper' jobbie, so I had my ombdone professionally. If you're looking to change the colour of your hair by more than one or two shades, I strongly suggest you leave it to the professionals! Besides, if it goes totally wrong, you'll end up at the mercy of a hairdresser to fix it anyway... it's just not worth trying to do this on the cheap!

Nothing too crazy, but it's given my hair such a lovely lift for summer!

On an entirely seperate note, I've just opened an Ask.fm page which allows you to anonymously ask any beauty queries you might have, and then get a response from yours truly - check it out (and get your questions in!) here.

  2. I'm so glad you managed to get it sorted in the end, it looks lovely! As a fellow ombre, I love it! I feel that with a dip dye you can get away with not styling your hair, but still looking 'done' :-)
