L'Oréal Paris EverRiche No Sulphates Nourishing Care System.

My hair gets a bit neglected around exam season - with most of my energy concentrated on retaining medical knowledge, I don't exactly bother with getting it cut, smothering it in conditioner... hell, even washing it becomes a total hassle (gross, but true).

So it's fair to say that the L'Oréal Paris EverRiche No Sulphates Nourishing Care System*, made up of shampoo, conditioner and treatment mask (first mentioned here) has been something of God-send now that exams are finished.

As the name suggests, the entire system is free of sulphates - often labelled as SLS (sodium laureth sulphate), sulphates are man-made chemicals used to create a foamy lather in beauty products... sounds dandy, but they are also incredibly irritating to the delicate skin of the scalp... not so dandy for someone like me, whose skin can be somewhat sensitive.

The products are also enriched with botanical oils, which leave your hair super glossy and smelling good enough to eat. Most importantly, the effects of the EverRiche system were pretty clear after one wash - my hair was softer, shinier, more manageable... basically much, much healthier.

I think the shampoo (which, FYI, doesn't need SLS, it creates the most amazing lather without it!) is great, and the conditioner feels really rich and luxurious... but, for me personally, the stand-out product is the Nourishing Treatment Mask - this stuff is amazing, and has quickly become something of a holy-grail product (yes, I said it, it's that good). However, I do think it works best in conjunction with its sisters, the Nourishing and Taming Shampoo & Conditioner.

Now, excuse me whilst I go and swish my shiny hair about à la Cheryl Cole in those adverts... because I'm worth it.
See what I did there?

  1. Sounds amazing! My skin struggles with SLS too. It gives me big dry patches. The only product I've found to really help my skin was Lush soap bars. Plus they smell amazing!
