Monday has rolled round far too quickly and it's left me rather grumpy - at times like these, I find that there's nothing quite like a bright red nail to be looking down at when I'm in a less than cheery mood.
This red nail is a modern twist on the classic, with a cheeky bit of glitter ombré going on...
To create this look, I first prepped my nails with Models Own Base-Top Gloss, which, as the name suggests, functions as both a base and top coat. Your manicure will last so much longer if you use this, so base coat a step not to be missed if you hate getting chips within a couple of days of painting your nails.
Two coats of Nails Inc. London Polish in Tate* came next - this is my absolute favourite red nail polish!
Then I applied a coat of Rimmel London Precious Stones Glitter Nail Polish in Ruby Crush which I painted into the top half of the nail - I waited for this to dry, then applied a second coat of the polish, making sure it didn't extend as far along the nail as the first coat to create the dip-dye look.
Finally, I finished with a slick of the aforementioned top coat... et voilà! Speedy and super easy - give it a go!
